Short Story Element Chart	Poor Student did not fill in the majority of squares or did not apply correct information.	Fair Student filled in 5-7 squares with correct information.	Good Student filled in all seven element square with correct information.
Literary Plot Diagram	Poor Student only attempted to begin plot diagram. A lot of missing or wrong information.	Fair Student filled out plot diagram missing 1-2 events or squences.	Good Student filled out plot diagram using correct story events and sequence.
Class participation/behavior	Poor Student was very disruptive. Student did not participate at all.	Fair Student was disruptive several times during the learning process and did not participate often.	Good Student participated in class by answering questions or sitting quietly filling out the chart and diagram learning.
Group work/behavior	Poor Student was entirely off task. Did not work well in the group. Did not share ideas or learn rom the others.	Fair Student worked somewhat with the group. Student was off task some of the time. Student did not share a lot of ideas or gain much from the group.	Good Student worked well with others and shared important ideas.
