Drill and Tap 
Students will a drill press to drill a specific size hole for the tap they will be using. The students will drill through the piece of metal.Then use the tap that was designed for the hole you just made. Make sure the tap is straight up and down and not leaning twist the tap a few turns then back off a 1/4 turn repeat this process till you screw the tap through the metal..
