Research Project Research Project Students are to work in pairs and create a dialogue between two characters who have played significant roles in the development of Australian democracy. The characters are people of our Australian history whose experiences have shaped the nation. History Research Rubric Significant persons in the Federation of Australia.
	Mimimal 5 pts	Good 10 pts	Excellent 15 pts
Research	Mimimal Poorly researched with limited or no facts.	Good Sound research, which is shown through the inclusion of many important facts.	Excellent Student's research was detailed and focused, presented at a high level and included all significant information.
Bibliography	Mimimal Few or no references. Mostly incorrectly recorded.	Good Well done and mostly correct, shows an attempt to use broad research.	Excellent Correct referencing showing broad research.
Script/dialogue	Mimimal Basic script, little creativity, basic vocabulary. Dialogue was uninteresting and little information included.	Good A good, well written script with some sound vocabulary to create a dialogue which is a factual exchange.	Excellent Excellent script, which included significant facts. Dialogue was well written and flowed naturally between characters.
Work Quality and Effort	Mimimal Work is done with little effort.	Good The work done demonstrates effort and thought.	Excellent The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the students took pride in their work.
