Pattern Hand Recognize and create several different patterns with line. Understand the difference between continuous and broken lines. Create rhythm in my artwork.

Hand Outline	Excels The outline of the hand is traced and cut out well.	Satisfactory The outline of the hand is traced and cut out somewhat well.	Needs Improvement The outline of the hand needs improvement.
Pattern Design	Excels 6 different patterns are used throughout the hand.	Satisfactory At least 2 different patterns are used throughout the hand.	Needs Improvement Only one pattern is used throughout the hand.
Use of Colored Pencil	Excels All pencil lines are traced well so that there is a contrast between the patterns and the background.	Satisfactory Most pencil lines are traced well and shading enhances the pattern designs.	Needs Improvement Pencil lines are not traced well and it is hard to tell the difference between the pattern designs and the background.
Use of Sharpie	Excels Sharpie is used well to make a consistent outline of the hand.	Satisfactory Sharpie is used somewhat well to make an outline of the hand.	Needs Improvement Sharpie is not used well and the outline is not consistent.
