Capitalization/Puctuation	Poor Student has at least 3 capitalization/punctuation errors.	Fair Student has 2 capitalization/punctuation errors.	Good Student has no capitalization/punctuation errors.
Opening/Closing	Poor Student did not use proper opening and closing for a letter.	Fair Student used either an opening OR a closing correctly.	Good Student used both the opening and the closing correctly.
Neatness	Poor Most (more than 1/2) of the student's paper is difficult to read.	Fair Some (less than 1/2) of the student's paper is difficult to read	Good The student's paper is easy to read and very neat.
