Song/Style Performance
	Advanced proficient 4 pts	Very proficient 3 pts	Proficient 2 pts	Less than proficient 1 pts
Pitch Accuracy	Advanced proficient Plays every music pitch correctly with excellent fingering choices.	Very proficient Plays almost all of the music pitches correctly with good fingering choices.	Proficient Plays more than half of the music pitches correctly with adequate fingering choices.	Less than proficient Plays some of the music pitches correctly.
Rhythmic Accuracy	Advanced proficient Plays all of the selection with correct rhythms and steady tempo.	Very proficient Plays almost all of the selection with correct rhythm. Tempo may vary slightly.	Proficient Plays more than half of the selection with a good sense of rhythm. Tempo varies greatly or stops and starts.	Less than proficient Plays some of the selection with adequate rhythmic sense. Tempo is very broken and there is minimal sense of time.
Tone/Sound Quality: Individual note	Advanced proficient Plays with a full sound and nice tone. There is no string buzz.	Very proficient Plays most of the time with a full tone.	Proficient Plays some of the time with a full tone.	Less than proficient Notes are dead or buzz for more than 50% of the pitches.
Tone/Sound Quality: Chords	Advanced proficient Plays with a full sound and nice tone. There is no string buzz. All notes in each chord can be heard clearly.	Very proficient Plays with a full sound and nice tone. There is little to no string buzz. Most notes in each chord can be heard clearly.	Proficient Chords can be heard as multiple notes, but several notes sound muted in each chord.	Less than proficient Chords are heard as single tones with mostly muted strings.
Left/Right Hand	Advanced proficient Left and right hand are always in the correct position. Uses correct left and right hand (PIMA) fingering. 0-1 errors	Very proficient Left and right hand are mostly in the correct position. Uses almost all correct left and right hand (PIMA) fingering. 2-4 errors	Proficient Left and right hand are sometimes in the correct position. Uses some correct left and right hand (PIMA) fingering. 5-8 errors	Less than proficient Left and right hand are not in the correct position. Uses incorrect left and right hand (PIMA) fingering. 9 or more errors.
