Reading Comprehension Questions Reading Comprehension Questions Students are required to answer comprehension questions doing/after class readings. Answers must be written in complete sentences. Comprehension	Poor Student did not complete assignment and/or did not answer more than half of questions correctly.	Fair Student answered 2 or 3 of the comprehension questions correctly.	Good Student answered 4/5 of comprehension questions correctly. Student comprehends main idea of the reading.	Excellent Student answered all (100%)comprehension questions correctly. Student fully demonstrates comprehension of main idea from the reading.
Form	Poor Student did not answer any of the questions in complete sentences.	Fair Student answered 2 or 3 of the comprehension questions in complete sentences.	Good Student answered at least 4/5 of the questions in complete sentences.	Excellent Student answered all questions in complete sentences.
Grammar	Poor There are numerous spelling or grammar errors, making the answer impossible to understand. There is no punctuation.	Fair There are numerous spelling or grammatical errors, making the answer difficult to understand. Most Punctation is not used correctly.	Good A few spelling or grammar mistakes are evident, but do not diminish the meaning of the answer. Some punctuation is misused.	Excellent Proper use of modern English spelling and grammar is used consistently throughout the assignment. Punctuation is utilized correctly and only when necessary.
Detail	Poor The level of detail in each question is poor and makes no attempt to include textually relevant information.	Fair The level of detail in each question is emerging. Attempts to engage the text are made.	Good The level of detail in each question is good. The student could add a bit more textual detail.	Excellent The level of detail in each question is excellent. Extensive details from the text are provided.
Format	Poor Paper is not formatted correctly.	Fair Paper is partially formatted.	Good Paper has one error in formatting.	Excellent Paper is formatted correctly.
