Vocabulary is trite, inaccurate, overly repetitive and not indicative of college-level aptitude; comments are in no logical order.
Fair

Vocabulary is somewhat original and accurate, and sometimes displays college-level thinking; comments are occasionally in a clear order.
Good

Vocabulary is varied, accurate, and demonstrative of college-level thinking; comments are presented in clear and logical order.
Participation

Poor

Student makes no comment or only one brief comment, and not voluntarily; makes no synthesis of comments already stated by others; includes comments that are clearly disrespectful of others.
Fair

Student makes at least one or two comments; may or may not synthesize other students' comments; comments are somewhat respectful of others in the group.
Good

Student volunteers multiple comments; synthesizes other students' comments in follow-up comments; comments are respectful of others in the group.
