Rhythm Accuracy	No Concept Extremely inaccurate. difficult to count number of mistakes. As if notes are sang randomly out of time. 11+ mistakes.	Beginning Mostly inaccurate, most rhythms are played incorrectly, but there appears to be a minimal amount of understanding of the notation. Between 8-10 mistakes.	Progressing Somewhat accurate. Mistakes have a considerable impact on the performance. Between 5-7 mistakes.	Developing Mostly accurate. Mistakes have minimal impact on the performance. Between 2-4 mistakes.	Advancing Perfect or nearly perfect. Between 0-1 mistakes.
Pulse	No Concept No perceptible pulse, as if notes are sang randomly.	Beginning Very inconsistent pulse, but rhythms still seem potentially related to a pulse, even though the pulse changes or starts/stops.	Progressing Somewhat inconsistent pulse, many noticeable fluctuations that detract from performance.	Developing Consistent pulse always or almost always, with only a few musically inappropriate fluctuations.	Advancing Singer maintains a strong rhythmic pulse at all times, regardless of pitch or rhythmic inaccuracies.
Pitch Accuracy	No Concept Extremely inaccurate. Difficult to count number of mistakes. Melodic contour is non-existent. 10+ mistakes	Beginning Mostly inaccurate. More mistakes than correct pitches. Even melodic contour suffers. Between 7-9 mistakes.	Progressing Somewhat accurate. Mistakes have a considerable impact on the performance. Between 4-6 mistakes.	Developing Mostly accurate. The few mistakes have minimal impact on the overall performance. Melodic contour is fairly obvious. Between 2-4 mistakes	Advancing Perfect or nearly perfect. Between 0-1 mistakes.
