The level of detail in each question is emerging. Attempts to engage with the text are made; however, thinking is often not visible.

The level of detail in each question is sufficient. The student has engaged with the text; however, more textual detail would enhance answers and make thinking visible.
Exemplary

The level of detail in each question is excellent. Engagement is highly evident, and textual details are relevant. The student has connected fully with the literature, and thinking is clearly visible.
