Personal Mood Board Personal Mood Board A mood board is a tool used by designers to help them get a good idea of what their clients are looking for. Mood boards are basically collages of items such as photographs, sketches, clippings, fabric swatches and color samples. A mood board can be actual or virtual. A mood board is used by many different types of designers such as those in fashion and interior design. Creativity	Advanced Student arranged pictures/items in a creative way. Labeling of pictures is in a stylized handwriting that compliments the overall look of the board. *Students may have incorporated materials other than magazine clippings.	Proficient Student's poster showed some creative arrangement of pictures but could have improved. Labeling of pictures may have been creative but could have improved.	Intermediate Student put little thought into the placement of pictures. No thought went into the style of writing used in the labeling of pictures.	Progressing *Student's method was thoughtless and off task.
Neatness/Professional	Advanced Pictures are neatly cut. Gluing is neat and corners of pictures are secure. *Labeling is neat.	Proficient Pictures are somewhat neatly cut. Gluing is mostly neat and corners are mostly secure. *Labeling is mostly neat.	Intermediate Pictures are roughly cut. Gluing is messy. Corners are sticking up and some are coming off. Labeling is mostly messy or is missing.	Progressing Pictures are VERY roughly cut. Gluing is VERY messy. *Labeling is messy and difficult to read or completely missing.

Floor Plan	Advanced Student neatly drew floor plan. Floor plan included multiple pieces of furniture.	Proficient Student drew floor plan but is slightly messy Some furniture included.
