Research Notes Research Notes These are notes for the research project; they may be written on note cards. Each card must have the number of the source it was taken from and each source must have at least 1 to 5 notecards. Fair * 3 sources with at least 1 books and 1 databases. <BR> * If an internet source is used, it's educational.	Poor * Less than 2 sources of any type. * If an internet source is used, it isn't educational.
Organization of Notes and cards	Excellent * Origin for all notes is clearly identified. * Notes are compiled in an organized manner.	Good * Origin of most notes is clear. * Notes are compiled in an organized manner.	Fair * The origin of about half of the notes is clear. * Attempt at organizing notes is noted.	Poor * The origin of only a few notes is clear. * Notes are not organized.
Note information	Excellent * All index cards are legible and easy to read. * Includes the direct reference or paraphrase of information related to the topic. Independent Use of Class Time	Excellent Student was focused and working independently at all times. No time was wasted chatting or asking about expectations that had already been thoroughly discussed by the teacher.	Good Student was focused and working independently MOST of the time. Some time was spent asking about expectations that had already been discussed thoroughly in class.	Fair Student needed to be re-focused more than once. Too much time was spent asking about expectations that were already discussed by the teacher in class.	Poor No reasonable effort was made by the student to remain focused and work independently during scheduled work times.
