Oral Presentation Rubric-Music Genre 
One to two minutes Presentation of Knowledge and Ideas. This speech focuses on presentation basics such as posture, volume, clarity, content and preparedness. The goal of this speech is to present information about your chosen blues singer-facts and why that individual is a strong contributer to music.

Level 1

Rarely speaks in complete sentences.
Level 2

Sometimes (70 - 80% of the time) speaks in complete sentences.
Level 3

Mostly (80 - 95% of the time) speaks in complete sentences.
Level 4

Always (95-100% of the time) speaks in complete sentences.
Speaks Clearly

Level 1

Often mumbles or can not be understood OR mispronounces more than one word.
Level 2

Speaks clearly and distinctly most (70 - 80% of the time) but mispronounces a few words.
Level 3

Speaks clearly and distinctly most (80 - 95% of the time) but mispronounces a few words.
Level 4

Speaks clearly and distinctly all the time (100 - 95% of the time) and mispronounces no words.
Posture and Eye Contact

Level 1

Slouches and/or does not look at people during the presentation.
Level 2

Sometimes stands up straight and establishes eye contact.
Level 3

Stands up straight and establishes eye contact with everyone in the room during the presentation.
Level 4

Stands up straight, looks relaxed and confident. Establishes eye contact with everyone in the room during the presentation.
Volume

Level 1

Volume often too soft to be heard by all audience members.
Level 2

Volume is loud enough to be heard by all audience members at least 80% of the time.
Level 3

Volume is loud enough to be heard by all audience members 90% of the time.
Level 4

Volume is loud enough to be heard by all members throughout the presentation.
