Snowflake Geometry
	Excellent (24) 8 pts	Good (18) 6 pts	Fair (12) 4 pts	Poor (6) 2 pts
Snowflake Structures	Excellent (24) Has required amount (5). Snowflakes still have a stable shape (the cutouts have maintained the original shape).	Good (18) Has 4 of the required 5. Snowflakes are still intact and holding original shape.	Fair (12) Has 3 of the required 5 Snowflakes shapes are flimsy and not stable. They may not be in the original shape.	Poor (6) Has 2 or less. Snowflake shapes are in pieces due to cutting out too much or in an incorrect spot.
Snowflake Design	Excellent (24) Overall designs are unique and detailed. Appropriate use of positive and negative space (not too much of either).	Good (18) Overall designs are unique. There's more positive or more negative space (not a balanced amount of each).	Fair (12) Overall designs are too similar. There is a noticeable majority of positive or negative space.	Poor (6) Overall designs are the same. There is only a small amount of negative space (very little cut out) or positive space (too much cut out).
Snowflake shapes	Excellent (24) Student used shapes that demonstrate their themes. Each snowflake follows theme. Students correctly classify their shapes.	Good (18) Student used shapes that mostly represent their theme. One snowflake or 1-3 shapes do not follow theme. Students missed 1-4 classifications of shapes	Fair (12) 4-6 shapes on each snowflake or 2 snowflakes do not follow theme. Students missed 5-9 classifications of shapes.	Poor (6) Students did not create a theme. Shapes are random and have no common theme between them. Students incorrectly classified 10 or more shapes.
