Volume and fluency	Excellent Clear and fluent presentation	Good Able to be heard but pacing was uneven	Fair Was difficult to hear at all times; uneven pacing	Poor Could not be heard by audience; spoke too quickly or stumbled often
Knowledge of Biography	Excellent Knew speech without notecards/memorized.	Good Knew speech, but needed notecards some of the time.	Fair Did not know the speech very well. Used note cards a lot.	Poor Did not have a speech prepared. Read directly off cards.
Costume	Excellent Wore a costume that represented the famous person.	Good Wore a costume, but didn't go with biography.	Fair Wore only part of a costume. Only partically went with biography.	Poor Did not wear or bring a costume
Content	Excellent Spoke on topic the whole time. Provided organized information on two or more of the following: childhood, adult life, fame, and what he/she will be remembered for.	Good Spoke about most of the person's life, but left out one or two key facts.	Fair Spoke about some of the person's life, but the account was not accurate or disorganized.	Poor Did not have a factual speech. Not prepared to participate.
Creativity	Excellent Very Creative, used effective props, authentic to person and time period. Became the famous person and remained in character.	Good Some what creative, tried to be authentic to person or time period, but compared time period of famous person to current time period.	Fair Very little creativity went into the presentaion. Not very authentic representation of person or time period.	Poor Not creative. Not authentic.
