Project Evaluation
Please use this rubric to evaluate your completed project. Take some time to read all of the categories and reflect on your performance in each one. Give yourself an honest rating in each category. Your instructor will also rate each category and return your rubric with a final grade. You may use the comment section, the back of this sheet or a separate paper to explain and/or defend any of your category ratings.

The student did nothing to individualize the project and/or copied elements from other designs.

The student attempted to individualize the project. However, the design changes may not have added to the overall quality of the finished product.
Good
The students added significant personal touches to an existing design. The design changes added to the overall quality of the finished product.
Excellent
This project was an original design and is completely one-of-a-kind. All elements were created by the student.
Difficulty
Poor
This project required very little thought or effort on the part of the student and did not challenge the student at all.
Fair
This project was below the students skill level and challenged the student very little.
Good
This project was aligned with the skill level of the student and challenged the students skill set throughout the duration of the project.
Excellent
This project incorporated many advanced design elements and required a significant amount of effort on the part of the student.

Poor
Students lack of respect for safety protocols has led to multiple safety violations and/or suspensions from lab activities.
Fair
Student is rarely caught observing safety rules and needs constant reminders to observe safety protocols.
Good
Student usually observes all safety rules but may need an occasional reminder to follow proper safety protocols.
Excellent
Student always respects and observes all lab safety rules
