Excellent

Student is always stepping with correct foot when passing the ball. He/she rotates their hips and snaps the wrists to fling the ball accurately.

Student usually steps with the correct foot when passing the ball. He/she rotates their hips and snaps the wrists to fling the ball accurately often.
Fair

Student does not always step with the right foot when passing the ball. He/she forgets to rotate their hips sometimes and has trouble remembering to snap the wrists to fling the ball accurately.

Student does not step with the right foot when passing the ball. He/she forgets to rotate their hips and snap the wrists forward for an accurate pass all of the time.

Student does not always stagger feet correctly, bends knees minimally, and does not concentrate on holding stick correctly. Student success is minimal when scooping the ball off the ground.

Student never staggers feet correctly, bends the knees properly, and does not hold the stick correctly. Student has little to no success when scooping the ball off the ground.
Catching

Excellent

Student holds the stick correctly and catches the ball tossed to them with the lacrosse stick or carton every time.

Student holds the stick correctly and catches the ball tossed to him with the lacrosse stick and rarely drops the ball.

Student has difficulty holding the stick and catching the ball tossed to him

Student can not hold the stick properly nor catch a ball tossed to him using the lacrosse stick.

Cradling

Student is able to hold the stick properly with dominant hand on top and non-dominant on the bottom. Student is also able to cradle a ball in the stick without dropping it.

Student is able to hold the stick properly with the dominant hand on top and non-dominant on the bottom. Student carries a ball in the lacrosse stick but drops the ball occasionally.

Student has trouble holding the stick properly. Student can cradle the ball with the lacrosse stick or drops ball more often than holding on to it.
Needs Improvement

Student can not determine which hand goes where on stick at all. Student consistently can not hold the ball with the lacrosse stick dropping it over and over.

Student understands and abides by the rules set forth by the teacher usually with few mistakes.

Student does not understand all of the rules set forth by the teacher and makes some mistakes.
