Using Grammar Correctly	Poor Sentence doesn't make sense due to bad grammar usage.	Fair Sentence makes sense, but there are 2 grammar errors.	Good Sentence makes sense, but there is 1 grammatical error.	Excellent There are no errors in grammar.
Punctuation	Poor There is no punctuation.	Fair Punctuation is used incorrectly.	Good Punctuation is accurate.	Excellent Punctuation is advanced for 3rd grade. (Use of semi-colons, colons, etc.)
Spelling	Poor Sentence is difficult to read because too many spelling errors.	Fair Sentence is understandable, despite several spelling errors.	Good One or two spelling errors don't interfere with meaning of sentence.	Excellent No Spelling Errors
