Writing Prompt Rubric Writing Prompts Rubric Students will use this rubric for their daily in class writing prompts. Writing prompts will be graded each month with 15 prompts per a month. Students can make up prompts for days they are absent, but it will be their responsibility to learn of prompts they have missed and they will be expected to write those prompts on their own time. A total of 25 points given for this assignment. 15 points for completion, which is 1 pt per prompt finished. 10 points for overall writing standard. Spelling	Advanced - There are less than 3 spelling errors	Proficient - There are 4 - 6 spelling errors.	Basic - There are 7 - 9 spelling errors.	Below Basic There are more than 10 spelling errors.
On Topic	Advanced The student directly answered or kept their writing on topic.	Proficient The student mainly kept their answers or writing on topic.	Basic The student somewhat kept their answers or writing on topic.	Below Basic The student did not answer the question or kept their writing on topic.
