Student will create a group "meter machine" which has to follow 4 criteria:
#1 The actions have to show meter in 2 ( a strong first beat followed by a weak second beat )
#2 The individuals in the group have to be all inter-connected.
#3 The machine has to produce machine noises that exemplify meter in 2.
#3 Their machine has to utilize 3 levels of space: high, medium and low.

Students will listen to a variety of musical examples and identify if the meter is in sets of 2 or 3.

Out of 10 musical excerpts, the student is able to identify 3 or 4 examples correctly.
M=Meets Standard
