Uses illustrations for support	Poor Student does not use illustrations to identify important ideas.	Fair Student starts using some illustrations to support understanding of the text but more detail is needed..	Good Student uses illustrations to support understanding of the plot.
Making Connections	Poor Student experiences difficulty making effective connections between the illustrations and the text.
