Context Clues	Excellent Student used clues from sentence to define unkonwn words.	Fair Student created their own clues using little or no information from sentences.	Below Students did not include use clues from sentences.
Meaning	Excellent The definition of the word is clear and correct.	Fair The definition is ok.	Below The definition is not correct or missing.
Picture	Excellent The picture shows what the word means and does a good job of illustrating the word.	Fair There is a picture, but it doesn't show what the word means.	Below There is no picture.
