Volcano Requirements	Exceeds The volcano includes all required elements of the project. The volcano demonstrates and active eruption.	Good Vocano meets all required elements; however, it does not demonstrate an active eruption.	Fair Does not have all of the required elements of the volcano or does not demonstrate an active eruption.	Poor Does not have all of the required elements of the volcano and does not demonstrate an active eruption.
Work quality/effort	Exceeds The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.	Good The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this volcano and presentation.	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Poor Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Presentation	Exceeds The team works together with fluency, fairness and unity. Each member speaks clearly and puts their information with complete understanding of their information.It is evident that the team has prepared what they will say.	Good The team works together. The group members speak clearly and each member presents good amount of the information expected.	Fair There are several confusing moments among the group and the information presented is not completed relayed during the presentation. The group has not practiced together to prepare.	Poor The group is unprepared to work as a team. No preparation was done for the presentation and the information that is presented lacks many elements of what is expected.
Topic Paper	Exceeds The topic paper is 1-2 pages long and includes all the required information.	Good The topic paper is less than 1 page long and includes all of the required information. The topic paper is 1-2 pages long but does not include all the required information.	Fair The topic paper is less than 1-2 pages long and does not include all the required information.	Poor The topic paper is incomplete.
Topic Paper Grammar	Exceeds The topic paper has no spelling or grammar errors.	Good The topic paper has less than 5 spelling or grammar errors	Fair The topic paper has 6-10 spelling or grammar errors.	Poor The topic paper has more than 11 spelling or grammar errors.
