Sequence	Poor Student doesn't retell any of the important events in the sequence or order they happened.	Fair Student retells some of the important events in the sequence or order they happened.	Good Student retells all the important events in the sequence or order they happened.
Characters	Poor Student was unable to identify or include any of the main characters in the retelling of the story.	Fair Student was able to identify and include some of the main characters in the retelling of the story.	Good Student was able to identify and include all main characters in the retelling of the story.
Vocabulary	Poor Student used little to no key vocabulary words in the retelling.	Fair Student was able to use some key the retelling.	Good Student was able to use many key vocabulary words in the retelling.
