Chapter Outlines	Poor Outlines for every chapter. Outlines are too basic, giving a general picture of the chapter.	Fair All outlines are included, but do not contain enough information to get a clear picture of the chapter.	Good All outlines are included and contain sound sections and sub sections for the entire chapter. Reading gives a good picture of the information in the chapter.	Excellent All outlines are included and contain very clear sections, sub-sections and headings. Reading gives an extensive picture of the chapter
Chapter Themes	Poor Themes are noted but not explained or demonstrated for each chapter.	Fair Themes are noted but not thoroughly explained or demonstrated	Good Themes are noted, with good explanations and demonstrations from each chapter.	Excellent Themes are noted and explained well. A clear connection to the chapter and its importance for understanding
Vocabulary	Poor Vocabulary is present, but there is not enough to connect to the entire chapter or definitions not thorough enough.
