iRubric: Changing a tire rubric

If any of the following events happen, the entire assessment fails.

Once the weight of the car is supported by the jack:

Student sits by the car.
Student's feet or other body parts are under the car.
Car sways on the jack.
Car falls off the jack for any reason.

Finds a sturdy part of the frame close to the tire to position the jack.

Remains on feet while using the jack to raise the car.

Correctly performs and clearly explains at least three of the following:

Finds a sturdy part of the frame close to the tire to position the jack.

Raises the jack by hand until it securely contacts the frame

Inserts the end of the jack handle into the jack and turns it clockwise.

Remains on feet while gently using the jack to raise the car.

Explains that any slight sideways movement could cause the car to suddenly fall, crushing anything under the ca
