Neatness-Accuracy	Excellent All seven food chains are neat and colorful and there are no spelling or punctuation errors.	Good Five food chains are somewhat neat and colorful and there are few (1-2) spelling or punctuation errors.	Fair Two food chains are somewhat neat and colorful but there are frequent (4-5) spelling or punctuation errors.	Poor The food chains are not neat and/or colorful and there are multiple (6 or more) spelling or punctuation errors.
Labeling	Excellent Each link is properly labeled with a description and tells if the organism is a producer or consumer and where it gets its energy. Full food chains must include decomposers.	Good Each link is partially labeled with a description and tells if the organism is a producer or consumer and where it gets its energy.	Fair Links have little labeling and little description (except for 1 or 2 links).	Poor Labeling and descriptions are missing.
The Sun	Excellent The Sun is accurately shown to be the original source of energy for all living beings and is at the beginning of each food chain.
