Dribbling with Finger Pads

Minimally Proficient

Never was able to successfully dribble.
Partially Proficient

Sometimes was successful in dribbling but still fumbled quite a bit and the ball was hitting the palm of the hand.
Proficient

Often was successful in dribbling the ball but had a few fumbles and it did not feel comfortable. The ball was sometimes hitting the palm of the hand.
Highly Proficient

Almost always was successful in dribbling. Student used finger pad to dribble almost 100% of the time.
Dribbling with Knees Bent

Minimally Proficient

Never dribbled with knees bent but rather straight legs.
Partially Proficient

Sometimes dribbled with knees bent but not a lot.
Proficient

Often demonstrated successful dribbling with knees bent but had to be reminded sometimes.
Highly Proficient

Almost always dribbled with knees bent and did not have to be reminded. It felt natural to bend the knees when dribbling.
Dribbling with Head Up

Minimally Proficient

Never dribbled with the head up but rather looked at the ball the entire time.
Partially Proficient

Sometimes dribbled with the head up but still looked at the ball 50% of the time.
Proficient

Often dribbled with the head up but still had to be reminded to not look at the ball.
Highly Proficient

Almost always dribbled with the head up. Student did not need to look down at the ball at all.
Speed Dribbling

Minimally Proficient

Never could travel the length of the court without losing the ball while dribbling.
Partially Proficient

Sometimes could make it the entire length of the court while dribbling but sometimes lost the ball.
Proficient

Often could make it the entire length of the floor but still had to look at the ball while dribbling.
Highly Proficient

Almost always made it the length of the court while dribbling and rarely had to look at the ball. Student felt the ball with their hand and pushed it forward without looking.
