Basic Math Facts Students will be able to correctly solve single digit addition or subtraction facts.
	Excellent Student is able to do the skill independently! 4 pts	Developing The student is able to complete the skill but still needs aids to help get the correct answers. 3 pts	Emerging Student gets the basic concept, but needs teacher support. 2 pts	Beginning The student is not able to complete the task independently and needs to be re-taught the skill in a different way. 1 pts
Use of manipulatives/aids The student may use aids to help him/her solve a problem.	Excellent The student does not need manipulatives or aids to help solve the problem.	Developing The student uses one or two manipulatives or aids to help solve the problem (touch points, number line, counters or fingers.)	Emerging The student does not independently seek out a manipulative or aid to help them, or needs teacher assistance to remember how to use the aids correctly.	Beginning The student is unable to use any of the aids in place to help them solve. The student is not independent in this skill.
Correct answers The student is able to correctly identify the answers.	Excellent The student completes the task without any mistakes.	Developing The student may have a few mistakes, but is able to self-correct when they are pointed out.	Emerging The student made a few mistakes and needs help to fix some of the mistakes.	Beginning The student made many mistakes and is not able to self correct any of their answers.
