Fine Motor Skills
	Satisfactory 3 pts	Room for Improvement 2 pts	No Evidence of Ability 1 pts
Pre-Writing Skills	Satisfactory Marks on paper are consistent and are legible. Copies/traces name and some words. (uses a mature-like grasp when writing)	Room for Improvement Makes strokes on paper with beginning legibility. Beginning to copy some letters. (a mature grasp is inconsistent)	No Evidence of Ability Makes simple strokes on paper which often appear as a scribble. (uses a thumb and two-finger grasp)
Scissor Skills	Satisfactory Cuts along a straight line, a curved line, and is able to cut out a complex shape. No help required while using scissors	Room for Improvement Cuts along a straight line and a curved line. May need help from time to time with positioning scissors.	No Evidence of Ability Cannot cut a straight line (cutting is jagged and messy). Needs assistance with initial placement of scissors.
Control of Small Muscles in Hands	Satisfactory Performs required fine motor tasks with no adult intervention.
