Support	Good Full content with enough supporting details for a reader to be convinced and fully grasp the details.	Fair Full content with some supporting details, but the reader is left needing more information. May switch off topic.	Poor Little to no details. Content switches topic and has no sense of direction.
Sentence Fluency	Good There is variety in sentence length, structure, and beginnings.	Fair Some paragraphs could use better control of sentence fluency. Or you vary your beginnings, but not your lengths.	Poor The sentences in the entire paper remain basically the same.
Transitions	Good Every paragraph has a clear transition that connects to the old and brings in the new.	Fair Transitions are attempted, but not all of them are the most effective type of transition	Poor No transitions exist between paragraphs.
