Individual Participation of Group Project-Novel Individual Standards-Based Project This rubric will be used to evaluate individual participation within a group project. Rubric Code: KXC57WC By jbaumann Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: English Type: Project Grade Levels: 6-8

Rubric Criteria
	Proficient 25 pts	Good 20 pts	Fair 15 pts	Poor 10 pts
Following Instructions All instructions to complete the assignment were followed.	Proficient Student followed all instructions given for the project. Student completed the assignment on time and with few to no errors.	Good Student followed most instructions given for the project. Student completed the assignment on time and with some errors.	Fair Student followed instructions. Student did not complete the assignment on time, fully complete the assignment, or made a large number of errors.	Poor Student follows all instructions given for the project. Student completed the assignment on time and with few to no errors.
Concept Knowledge The assignment showed that the student understood the purpose of the assigment.	Proficient Student demonstrates a stong conceptual understanding of required ideas. The project is comprehensive and accurate.	Good Student demonstrates a solid conceptual understanding of required ideas. The project is complete and mostly ccurate.	Fair Student demonstrates a weak conceptual understanding of required ideas. The project is partially incomplete and accurate.	Poor Student demonstrates no conceptual understanding of required ideas. The project is mostly incomplete and inaccurate.
Neatness & Effort The project end result was neat and understandable.	Proficient Project is very neat few grammatical errors and there is strong evidence of effort.	Good Project is neat with some grammatical errors. and there is good evidence of effort.	Fair Project is slightly messy and there is some evidence of effort.	Poor Project is very messy and little effort is shown.
Drawing, Diagrams, Charts, Graphs, All features to make the project understandable to someone that was unfamiliar with the novel were included in the final product.	Proficient Drawings are colorful, descriptive, and show strong artistic effort. Drawings show appropriate information.	Good Drawings may be colorful, somewhat descriptive, and show some artistic effort. Drawings show some appropriate information.	Fair Drawings are not colorful, not descriptive, and show little artistic effort. Drawings show little information.	Poor Drawings, diagrams, charts, or graphs are too basic to give any understanding of the story.
