Attendance	Passive Does not participate or attend IEP Meeting.	Minimal Attends a pre-conference IEP meeting to have input into IEP document, but does not participate in the meeting.	Active Lead parts or entire IEP Meeting through discussion, or visual presentation.
Disabilities Awareness	Passive Unsure of own disability and how it affects self.	Minimal Have knowledge of disability as well as strengths and barriers, but does not share it with others.	Active Can describe disability, strengths and barriers to others in IEP meeting and how it impacts their life- school, work and social.
Supports needed	Passive Cannot state accommodations needed without multiple prompts by IEP team members.	Minimal Can state accommodations needed/ current accommodations specific to areas that require accommodations, when prompted.	Active Can state and describe accommodations needed across academic and vocational/job settings without prompting.
Self- determination	Passive Cannot state realistic and attainable post secondary goals in pursuing work or post secondary education.
