Personal Mood Board Personal Mood Board Mood boards are basically collages of items such as photographs, sketches, clippings, fabric swatches and color samples. Students in an Interior class create their own Personal Mood Board to set the ground work for creating a project that reflects their design preferences. Materials available to students include a poster board, magazines for clipping, glue, and markers for labeling a minimum of 10 images. NEATNESS	ACCOMPLISHED DESIGNER Pictures are neatly cut. Gluing is neat and corners of pictures are secure. *Labeling is neat.	FUTURE DESIGNER Pictures are somewhat neatly cut. Gluing is mostly neat and corners are mostly secure. *Labeling is mostly neat.	DESIGNER IN TRAINING Pictures are roughly cut. Gluing is messy. Corners are sticking up and some are coming off. Labeling is mostly messy.	BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD Pictures are VERY roughly cut. Gluing is VERY messy. *Labeling is messy and difficult to read.
CREATIVITY	ACCOMPLISHED DESIGNER Student arranged pictures/items in a creative way. Labeling of pictures is in a stylized handwriting that compliments the overall look of the board. *Students may have incorporated materials other than magazine clippings.	FUTURE DESIGNER Student's poster showed some creative arrangement of pictures but could have improved. Labeling of pictures may have been creative but could have improved.	DESIGNER IN TRAINING Student put little thought into the placement of pictures. No thought went into the style of writing used in the labeling of pictures.	BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD *Student's method was thoughtless and off task.
FOLLOWED DIRECTIONS	ACCOMPLISHED DESIGNER *Student labeled 10 pictures using the correct vocabulary.	FUTURE DESIGNER	DESIGNER IN TRAINING *Student did not label pictures with Principle/Design Element Vocabulary OR less than 10 pictures were labeled.	BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD Student did not follow directions. Student did not label pictures.
PARAGRAPH	ACCOMPLISHED DESIGNER Excellent description of the project. Describes the room theme and color scheme used. Proper grammar and spelling	FUTURE DESIGNER Includes all paragraph components with minimal spelling and grammar issues	DESIGNER IN TRAINING Includes only one paragraph component and has several spelling and grammar issues.	BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD Poorly written and does not include theme and color scheme details. Misspelling and grammar issues are many.
