Student inconsistently demonstrates a positive attitude. Often disrupts and interrupts the class. Generally inconsistent behaviour.
Unacceptable
Student disrupts the class and interrupts others focus and effort. Typically off task and interrupts the teacher when giving instructions/teaching. Demonstrates poor sportsmanship.
Participation & Effort
Outstanding
Student consistently demonstrates best efforts. Learns all new skills and strives to continually improve on them. Helps others to learn and practice skills. Actively and attentively listens and asks questions for clarification and improvement purposes.
Good
Student gives his/her very best effort regardless of the activity. Attempts to learn all new/necessary skills and attains most of them. Generally listens well and follows direction. Occasionally asks questions for clarification or to aid improvement.
Acceptable
Student usually tries even if she/he doesn't enjoy the activity. Is able to improve on previously attained skills and attempts to learn new skills. Usually listens to and follows directions.
Needs Improvement
Student participates only if he/she enjoys the activity. Can be reluctant to learn new skills, particularly if unsure of own ability. Often demonstrates poor listening behaviours.
Unacceptable
Student rarely participates. Interactions with others are usually inappropriate or unsafe. Rarely attempts to learn new skills. Does not demonstrate good listening behaviour.

Student always works well with teammates and opponents. Always plays safely and corrects unsafe play. Student is reflective of the activity and implements techniques for improvement.

Student usually works well in groups and demonstrates satisfactory teamwork skills. Student is usually able to cope with winning and losing. Generally plays safely and by the rules.
Needs Improvement
Student occasionally demonstrates satisfactory teamwork. Student is often dominant in games and struggles to share with others fearing failure. Occasionally plays unsafely when frustrated.
Unacceptable
Student demonstrates poor group/team work. Often argues/blames others when unsuccessful. Often demonstrates and engages in unsafe play/interactions
Leadership
Outstanding
Student willingly demonstrates the skill being taught, and takes initiative to assist with set up and take down of activities and volunteer.
Good
Student demonstrates skills when asked, frequently assists with set up and take down.
Acceptable
Student is cooperative when needed, and assists when asked.
Needs Improvement
Student is occasionally cooperative, but is hesitate to assist.
Unacceptable
Student is neither cooperative nor gives assistance when asked.
