Togetherness	Poor Student neither began nor ended with the conducted. The student was also distracted for majority of the piece and did not pay attention to the conductor.	Fair Student either began with the conductor or ended with the conductor, but did not do both. For majority of the piece, the student watched the conductor but was noticeably distracted.	Good Student began with the conductor and ended with the conductor. For majority of the piece, the student watched the conductor but was noticeably distracted.	Excellent Student began with the conductor and ended with the conductor and paid close attention to the conductor through the duration of the piece.
Participation	Poor Student played their instrument for less than half of the duration of the sight read and played during parts where his/ her instrument was not marked to play.	Fair Student played their instrument for half of the duration of the sight read and/ or played during parts where his/ her instrument was not marked to play.	Good Student played their instrument for majority of the sight read during the parts where his/ her instrument is marked to play.	Excellent Student played their instrument throughout the entire duration of the sight read, during all parts where his/ her instrument is marked to play.
Rhythm	Poor Student played less than half of the rhythms in the piece correctly.	Fair Student played half of the rhythms in the piece correctly.	Good Student played majority of the rhythms in the piece correctly.	Excellent Student played 100% of the rhythms in the piece correctly.
Intonation	Poor Student played less than half of the notes in the piece correctly.	Fair Student played half of the notes in the piece correctly.	Good Student played majority of the notes in the piece correctly.	Excellent Student played 100% of the notes in the piece correctly.
