Science Concept	Advanced Project addresses science concepts. They are accurate, comprehensive, and well supported.	Proficient Adequate explanation of science content. Science connection present but could be developed further.	Partially Proficient Poor explanation of science content. Inaccurate science connection. Misinterprets the science.	Novice No analysis of science content. No explanation.
Real-World Connections	Advanced Project includes real-world connections that are applicable and relevant to content.	Proficient Text includes real-world connections that are applicable, but not relevant to content.	Partially Proficient Text includes real-world connections, however, they are not applicable or relevant.	Novice Text does not include real-world connections.
Summary	Advanced Project includes proper summary of literature. Details and descriptions of key concepts is included. Contains full resource information.	Proficient Project includes adequate summary with some details and descriptions. Missing one part of resource information.	Partially Proficient Project summary is inadequate and does not include details and descriptions. Missing two or more parts of resource information	Novice Summary is not included. No details and descriptions. No resource information.
Creativity	Advanced Interesting, engaging, visually stimulating. Aesthetically appealing use of color, diagrams, and text. Interest, motivation, effort, and time obviously present.	Proficient Some use of color, diagrams, etc. Engages but does not stimulate.	Partially Proficient Very little use of color or pictures but not enough to engage and hold attention.	Novice Bland, no variability. No use of color or diagrams. Boring to look at, ode not catch your attention. Interest, motivations, effort, and time obviously absent.
