Quality of Decoration
Exceeds Standard
The instrument is well-constructed and nicely decorated. It demonstrates creativity and thought planning. The instrument is decorated in relation to the song played by the student
Meets Standard
The instrument reflects some effort on construction and decoration. It is reasonably related to the song and student was somewhat creative.
Approaches Standard
The instrument reflects some alteration to an existing form to "make" the instrument. There may be an absence of decoration. There was minimal relation between song and artwork.
Below Standard
The instrument reflects an existing form with little or no alteration. Pieces may be missing or falling off. Seems "slapped together" in a hurry. There may be a total lack of decoration.
Incomplete
There appears to be no effort in making an instrument and no effort to decorate.
