Self-Advocacy Clarifying Assignments 
When student is given an assignment he/she does not readily understand (due to multiple steps, wording of the assignment, or even perceived errors in the assignment), he/she will independently ask questions (either through email, in virtual class, or by phone) of teacher and/or politely state why the directive is confusing (even if it means pointing out a perceived error).
