Netball Skills Assessment Netball Skills Assessment Netball: Students will pass the ball and run into position. They will show attack and defence manoeuvers. Netball
	Red 1 pts	Yellow 2 pts	Green 3 pts
Catching	Red -Student can catch the netball while moving -Does not have good control -Cannot pivot without stepping -Rigid stance, knees not bent.	Yellow Student can catch the netball, shows good control and proper positioning -Student pivots and finds new direction- -Able to pivot while assessing next passing option.	Green Student can catch the netball, pivot to the new direction and deliver the ball successfully.
Shooting	Red Student can sometimes shoot the ball successfully. -Student does not follow through. -Student uses two hands to shoot ball. - Off balance at times	Yellow Student shoots the ball correctly. -Student follows through. Student adopts correct position to shoot from above the head, is well balanced. -Student is usually successful in shooting.	Green Student shoots the ball demonstrating the correct technique, is balanced and follows through to the ring afterwards. - student demonstrates excellent accuracy
Passing	Red -Student can sometimes pass the ball successfully -Student sometimes follows through the pass -Student sometimes make sure the pass recipient is ready for the ball	Yellow Student passes the ball correctly -Student follows through on pass -Student usually completes the pass to a teammate Student usually makes sure their teammate is ready for the pass	Green Student passes the ball with precision and accuracy Student passes so that their teammate can receive it with ease
Attack	Red Student can sometimes run into attack position and receive the ball.	Yellow Student shows an understanding of the role of attack and makes position to receive the ball.	Green Student can use both attack and defending skills in the course of the game. The student intercepts the ball and makes turnovers for their team.
Defence	Red Student can sometimes take up the defending position and intercept a ball.	Yellow Student can defend a ball from the correct distance and can attempt interceptions.	Green The student intercepts the ball and makes turnovers for their team.
