Student has correct technique but creates tension in sound. Some inconsistencies in technique and posture are preset but they do not take away from the performance of the piece.

Ideal technique and posture demonstrated. Student is poised and demonstrates pride without having overly stiff posture. Good Technique produces great sound quality.
5. Overall / Musicality

Struggles to only get through the required piece without additional creative license and/or without stopping and starting.
Developing

Plays through the entire piece without stopping and starting. Very little creative license if any but plays the piece well. May have tendency to over or under play

Begins to use creative license. Sometimes over or underplays the piece. Solid Performance.

Makes great musical decisions overall. Demonstrates balanced use of creative license when appropriate.
