(Not clear or "all over the place")	Fair The writer is somewhat focussed on thesis throughout the paper. (Doesn't relate back to thesis and/or changes ideas.)	Good The writer is focussed throughout the paper and does an exceptional job of remaining on main topic/thesis.	Excellent The writer is very focussed throughout the paper, constantly relating back to thesis.
Organization	Poor The paper is not organized and lacks basic elements such as thesis, body paragraphs, conclusion etc.	Fair The paper is somewhat organized but is hard to follow and out of order.	Good The paper is exceptionally organized but could use more revision.	Excellent The paper is very organized and very presentable.
Evidence	Poor The writer includes no evidence to support their thesis.	Fair The writer includes little evidence/ evidence that does not really relate to thesis.	Good The writer includes exceptional evidence but could use a little more to prove thesis.	Excellent The writer includes the perfect amount of evidence/ has evidence that proves thesis.
