Students did not meet the basic requirements. They did not follow instructions. The were missing justifications for their items
Personal items were not included

Students had some of their items. But did not have all of them. Some of the justifications did not make sense and their personal items were present but justifications were not

Students had all of their items both for the group and personal. There was clear thought put into thier choices. However some aspects/justifications did not make sense.

Students met all the requirements. There was clear thought and creativity in the selection of their items. The group followed directions and all members contributed.

The ad attempted to recruit members of the general public. The ad was not attractive nor was it thought through. There were some of the people mentioned but very little thought

Wow! The ad was amazing and was well thought through. It was in color and the audience could tell what kids of people the group wanted to recruit It made the front page of the NY Times

There was no frame work for government. No type of government listed. the reader could not understand how the colony would be ran and it its obvious that the colony would descend into anarchy the moment they step foot on the planet.

There was a government identified but not explained how it would function or work. The colonists would be like James town and would revert to cannibalism within months.

The government is well identified. The group explains separation of powers and who is in charge. There is both structure and function in the government and a clear plan for citizenship.
Excellent
Awesome, the group not only identifies the type of government but clearly explains how they are going to function. There is a clear frame work for government. Time and thought went into the decision making

The group fails to have 10 laws and punishments to fit the laws.

The group has ten laws but they lacking in thought and detail

The group has ten laws but some of the laws contradict the constitution but are otherwise good laws.
Excellent
Creative thought went into the creation of the ten laws. Punishments fit the crimes and law and order have been established. Mr Head would love to live in this colony!
