TED Talk Presentation 
Students will assume the role of a TED Talk presentor. Students will select a topic that they are passionate about and create a 5 minute TED Talk to targeted audience, the Middle School.

Talk has met all of the standards as listed above in a good manner.
Poor

Talk has NOT met some specific standard as listed above.
Preparedness

Talk must be well-prepared and rehearsed prior to filming and then well-edited before viewing.

Exceptional

Students show that the Talk was completely prepared to present before the class presentation.
Good

Students seem to be somewhat prepared but maybe should have had more planning and editing.
Poor

Students do not seem prepared to record or to present.
Posture and Eye Contact

Student displays the elements of good speaking.

Exceptional

Students stand up straight, look confident, speak clearly, and make eye contact during the presentation.
Good

Students stand up straight, and give some eye contact.
Poor

Students slouch, little or no eye contact.
Enthusiasm

Students effectively demonstrate an appropriate level of enthusiasm for their topic.

Exceptional

The presentation was VERY professional and the student's enthusiasm for the topic was genuine.
Good

Presentation was professional and the student's interest for the topic was genuine.
Poor

Presentation was not professional and no interest or enthusiasm was portrayed.
Time

Students talks are 5 minutes in length

Exceptional

Students deliver their content in 5 minutes ( or very close within 15 seconds plus or minus)
Good

Students are within a minute of minutes plus or minus of the required time.
Poor

Students are more than a minute plus or minus of the required time.
