Project layout	Poor Student needs to have layout shown, step by step. Followa as instructor marks measurements.	Fair Student has some idea of the layout process. Is able to make some measurements.	Good Student follows plans, independantly. Marks out lenghts and angles to be cut.
Preparedness	Poor Student does not come preared to work does not bring plans, tools or correct clothing and boots.	Fair Student is somewhst prepared for work, brings some of the tools and plans. needs to be reminded to dress appropriately.	Good Student is ready to begin working on time, has all the plans and tools that will be needed. Is wearing proper clothing and boots.
Tool useage	Poor Does not identifiy or use tools and equipment effectively.	Fair Is able to find some of the tools they will be using.	Good Is able to find and use all the tools they will need for thier project.
Safety	Poor Student neglects to use proper safety equipment and is careless in thier work. Does not keep area neat and organized.	Fair With promompting, student uses safety glasses. Student is somewhat careless about his work and does not keep area neat.	Good Student uses safety glasses, works carefully and keeps work area neat and clutter free.
Craftmanship	Poor project has many errors, student did not apply given talent. Didnt care to finish project.	Fair project has few minor errors, student applied given talent to satisfactory standards.	Good project built to perfection. Able to be sold in a store
surface Finish	Poor finish is rough, or incomplete	Fair finish has minimum rough spots and cross grain scratches.	Good finish is smooth, without imperfections.
