Topic/Concept	Poor I read and took notes in class about the topic/concept, but I am totally confused!	Fair I am not sure I understand what was explained or what I read, but I got a few parts.	Good I followed the reading, what the illustrations are about, and understood the notes from class, but I have a hard time retelling the information in my own words.	Very Good I am pretty sure I get all the ideas. I can remember the topic well enough to retell it in my own words, but I wouldn't want to teach this yet.	Excellent I could teach the topic. I can apply the information to my own life, and probably to new situations, and I can give examples not provided in the reading.
