Less Inadequate

Demonstrate less success than a 4 in defending, challenging, or qualifying. The papers show less maturity in control of writing.

Little Success

Demonstrate little success in defending, challenging, or qualifying. These papers may misunderstand the prompt, or substitute a simple task by responding to the prompt tangentially with unrelated, inaccurate, or inappropriate explanation.
