Cover Page	Excellent The cover page is well designed, either hand drawn or with computer graphics. It is clear the student put a lot of effort into the cover page.	Good The cover page is of average design.	Acceptable The cover page was created with little effort.	Unacceptable Student has no cover page.
Grammar	Excellent There are zero grammatical or usage errors. Sentences are well constructed and flow well.	Good There are few errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation and the sentences flow well.	Acceptable Fair-Basic Communication. There are errors that interfere with the ability to follow the essay.	Unacceptable Poor-Confusing. Grammar and/or spelling and/or punctuation errors greatly interfere with the reader’s ability to easily read the essay.
Organization	Excellent Followed all directions for set up. Essay is very well organized.	Good Followed most directions for set up. Essay is well organized.	Acceptable Followed some directions given for set up. Essay needs some organizational improvement.	Unacceptable Did not follow directions for set up. Essay layout is unorganized and messy.
Research and Understanding	Excellent Student did significant research and it is entirely in their own words. Student demonstrates a deep understanding of their project.	Good Student did a lot of research and it is presented in their own words. Student shows a clear understanding of their project.	Acceptable Student did some research but most information is not in their words. Student shows little understanding of their project.	Unacceptable Student did inadequate research. Student does not understand their own project.
