Line Usage How well are the students using their writing lines?	Poor Many errors in line usage. (More than 4 letters have errors.)	Fair Few errors using lines correctly (All but 2-3 letters are written correctly.)	Good Uses lines correctly most of the time (All but 1 letter is written correctly.)	Outstanding Always uses lines correctly.
Spacing How well are students spacing their letters and/or words?	Poor Many errors in spacing (More than 4 errors.)	Fair Few errors using spacing correctly (2-3 errors)	Good Uses proper spacing most of the time (1 error)	Outstanding Always uses proper spacing.
Letter Formation How well are students forming their letters correctly?	Poor Many errors in letter formation. Incorrect letter formations. (More than 4 errors.)	Fair Few errors in letter formation. Few letters are formed incorrectly. (2-3 errors)	Good Most letters are formed correctly. (1 error)	Outstanding Consistently forms all letters correctly.
