Student introduces their story with a title, but one of the following writing elements is missing: beginning, middle and end.
Poor

Student introduces story with a title, but story is out of sequence and/or one of the elements of writing is missing. Story cannot be followed and leaves the audience confused.

Fair

Student's voice is low. Student incorrectly pronounces words. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation. Voice is average, it does not engage the audience.

Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces words, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of class to hear. Voice in monotone and unexpressive.
Eye Contact

Excellent

Student uses eye contact consistently throughout the story. Remembering to engage the whole audience at the end of each paragraphs.
Good

Student attempts to use eye contact throughout the reading of the story, but does not engage the whole audience.
Fair

Student rarely uses eye contact, and reads most of the worksheet without looking up.
Poor

Student reads all of the story without using eye contact. Worksheet blocks the students face and muffles the students speech.
Visual Aid

Excellent

Student presents picture in a natural and smooth way. All audience members are able to see it clearly.
Good

Student presents picture clearly. Audience did not have enough time to view it fully.
Fair

Student did not present their picture clearly. Students were unable to see and understand its contents.
Poor

Student did not show picture, or had a reminder to display it. Audience could not see it clearly or at all.
